ARCHITECTURAL

Located in West Yorkshire, this beautiful Georgian renovation features beautiful views over the stray.

The client’s brief was to create a highly functional design to accommodate busy family life, to include practical storage in the form of a secret pantry to house the children’s baking equipment and a hide away breakfast area with worktop coffee machine. Simple timeless neutral finishes were selected to accentuate the client’s accessories and the beautiful property’s original architectural features.

beautiful & functional

The project features SieMatic S2 furniture in ‘Lotus white’ gloss, paired beautifully with white gloss sintered stone worktops and bronze tinted wall cladding.

Volakas marble island side panels & breakfast cabinet back panel were specified  with organic veining for a timeless touch. The appliances are Miele and Gaggenau along with the essential Quooker boiling water tap.

A key feature is the Westin Stratus Air ceiling hood, in the clients’ words “a high performance silent hero”, the ceiling unit has been lacquered to match the Farrow & Ball ‘All White’ ceiling finish to ensure that the extraction disappears into the architecture of the home while offering the perfect practical solution for this hard working space, the extractor does not dominate the space or obstruct the all-important views of the stunning Yorkshire landscape.

The result is a stunning family space with the real wow factor. Fully endorsed by the property’s smallest furry residents – Dolly & Marcel.

The result

Finally, Westin were commissioned to visit the property and template for what would be the centrepiece statement hood above the island that was to be suspended from the pitched ceiling and include a circular chimney, again perfectly matched to the angle of the pitch.

The end result is a unique kitchen for a truly unique property, in keeping and sympathetic to the history and original features of this hidden gem.
